The dashboard is your snapshot of the business. Here's what each number actually means.
The key numbers
Monthly overhead — your current monthly business cost. Update it as costs change.
Overhead per hour — your overhead divided by billable hours. This is the number baked into every quote.
Take-home (estimated) — what you're projected to keep after overhead and self-employment taxes.
Income goal progress — how far along you are this month/year toward your goal.
Won this month — the dollar value of accepted jobs in the current month.
Average margin — your blended profit margin across recent jobs.
What to do with them
Glance at the dashboard once a day. If your take-home or margin starts trending the wrong way, look for the culprit — a job that ran hot, a rate that's stale, an expense category that crept up.
FAQ
Where do these numbers come from?
From your overhead, rates, won jobs, time entries, and expenses — calculated live.
Why is my take-home lower than my revenue?
Take-home is after overhead and self-employment taxes — it's what you'd actually keep. Revenue is the top-line total.
