0% platform fee on paid plans, flexible payments, and a price-lock pledge

The payments update — and a promise.

  • 0% platform fee on Pro & Business. You now keep 100% of every client payment and pay only Stripe's raw rates: 2.9% + 30¢ on cards, and ACH at 0.8% capped at $5. On a $10,000 bank-transfer invoice that's a $5 fee — the same payment costs $100 on tools with uncapped 1% ACH. Free-tier accounts pay 2%, which drops to 0% the day you upgrade. (See the fee math →)
  • More ways for clients to pay. Card, bank transfer (ACH), Cash App Pay, and Link at checkout — whatever you enable in Stripe. Deposits can also go out as fee-free Venmo / Cash App / Zelle links, and offline payments (check, cash) never carry a fee.
  • Pass the card fee through. You can now pass your card-processing fee to the client on any Stripe payment, disclosed at checkout.
  • Line-item sections. Group quotes into named sections — Kitchen, Bath, Exterior — with subtotals on the builder, the client portal, and PDFs.
  • Saved discounts. One-tap named discounts ("Military & veterans −10%") that print by name on the quote and PDF.
  • The price-lock pledge. The price you sign up at is your price — forever. While competitors kill free plans and hike tiers, ours are locked. (Read the pledge →)

The crew app, and a complete invoicing overhaul

The two biggest releases in JobPricer's history, in one update.

  • Your crew gets their own app. It lives at jobpricer.app/crew — installable to the home screen, separate from your app, with each worker on their own login. Home screen is a giant time clock that works offline (dead-zone taps queue with the real tap time and sync later), tracks non-job time (shop, travel, equipment, callbacks), handles paid/unpaid breaks by your rules, turns quote line items into job checklists, and sends materials requests and office notes straight to your dashboard. End-of-day sign-offs flow into payroll automatically. (See the crew app →)
  • Invoicing v2. Edit invoices before they go out with live math, set due dates that drive overdue status, see when a client opens an invoice, and follow every event — sent, opened, reminded, paid — on one payment timeline. Record payments any way clients pay (card via Stripe, or logged cash/check/Zelle — Stripe payments are tamper-locked), and chase everything overdue in one tap. (See invoicing →)
  • Schedule an estimate from a request in two taps — it lands on your calendar and syncs to Google Calendar, and you get an email the moment a new request comes in.
  • AI quote drafting is now opt-in per request — it drafts when you ask it to, not automatically.
  • Milestone payment schedules now render correctly on quote PDFs.

Card on file at booking, per-calendar sync, polish across the app

A big one this week — the last loose-thread feature shipped, plus a bunch of polish.

  • Card on file at booking (Stripe SetupIntent). Customers can save a card right on the booking form. You charge it from the invoice when the job's done — no chasing payment after the fact. (How it works)
  • Per-Google-calendar selection. If you keep a separate "Jobs" calendar, you can now sync to that specific calendar instead of your primary.
  • AI token-pack balance. Settings now shows your pack balance separately from your monthly quota, so you can see exactly how much extra AI you've got.
  • Optional reCAPTCHA on public forms. Extra spam protection for high-traffic booking pages, off by default.
  • Auto-refresh when a new version ships, so you're never stuck on an old version (it waits until you're done editing before reloading).

Refer-a-friend rewards, payroll improvements, and a smarter request inbox

A solid mix of new features and quality-of-life fixes.

  • Refer-a-friend rewards. Turn happy customers into your next job — set a reward, JobPricer prompts after a great job, both sides earn. (Set it up)
  • Payroll improvements. Cleaner pay-period view, easier overtime adjustments, and faster payouts for crew and subs on Business.
  • Smarter request inbox. New submissions are easier to triage, photos load faster, and the "Card on file" badge shows when a customer left their card at booking.
  • Lead-source analytics. See which sources actually produce paying work — and which ones don't. (Read your analytics)

Push notifications, pull-to-refresh, and mobile fixes

A mobile-focused week — JobPricer now feels even more native on your phone.

  • Push notifications. Get pinged the moment a new request lands, a quote is accepted, or a payment hits. (Turn them on)
  • Pull-to-refresh on every list, so you can grab the latest with a swipe.
  • Tab-return refresh — switching back to the JobPricer tab re-pulls your data automatically.
  • Faster installs. First-time PWA install on iOS and Android is snappier; the home-screen icon loads instantly.

Built with you.
