Record cash, check, or Venmo payments

Plenty of customers still pay with cash, a check, or a Venmo/Zelle. Logging those keeps your records complete and your reporting accurate.

How to record one

  1. Open the invoice.
  2. Choose Record payment and pick the payment method: cash, check, Venmo, Zelle, or other.
  3. Enter the amount and the date. Add a note if it helps (check number, etc.).
  4. Mark the invoice paid.

The payment shows in your reports alongside online payments — so totals, profit, and tax-time exports include it all.

FAQ

Can I partially pay an invoice?
Yes — log a partial payment and the invoice keeps a balance due. Record more payments until it's paid in full.
Will the customer get a receipt for a cash payment?
You can send them an updated paid invoice as a receipt — it shows the payment and the zero balance.
Will tax-time export include offline payments?
Yes — the tax-time CSV includes every payment, regardless of method.
