Take a deposit and send an invoice

Once Stripe is connected, getting paid is built right into the flow.

Take a deposit

When a customer accepts a quote, request a deposit. They pay online, and the job is funded before you spend a dollar on materials.

Send an invoice

  1. Turn a completed job into an invoice — approved change orders are pulled in automatically.
  2. Send it with a pay link or QR code.
  3. Record the payment: card, ACH, or mark it paid for cash, check, or Venmo.

You can also save a customer's card at booking and charge it from the invoice when the work's finished.

FAQ

How much deposit should I ask for?
Usually 10–50%, depending on how much you're spending on materials up front. See our full guide on contractor deposits.
Can I record cash or check payments?
Yes — log any payment type, so your records and totals stay accurate even for offline payments.
